Background Checks

The Background Checks API provides robust verification tools across various domains, ensuring comprehensive and reliable data retrieval for informed decision-making. Here's an overview of the available endpoints:

1. Motor Vehicle Records: Retrieves Motor Vehicle Records matching the provided Name, Date of Birth, and License Number against State Records. Key fields required for these requests are license_number and state_abbr, with additional fields verified if provided. To check previous licenses, include the previous license number. Note the pass-through fees for each state detailed here.
2. Employment Verification: To initiate verification, submit employment details through this endpoint. Mandatory fields include employerName, jobTitle, startDate, currentlyEmployed, and manualVerification. If manualVerification is enabled, further details like employer address and supervisor contact information must be included. Verification status updates are accessible via a separate API.
3. Education Verification: Allows for submitting an individual's educational background. Fields required are institutionName, startDate, degreeTitle, and manualVerification. If manualVerification is true, additional information such as institution address and completion status needs to be provided. Verification progress can be tracked through another API.
4. Professional License Verification: Verify the details of a user's professional license.

It's crucial to acknowledge that the data does not constitute a “consumer report” as defined under the FCRA. Thus, it should not be used for credit, employment, or other FCRA-regulated activities.
